Sizing energy storage for a wind farm powering partly independent housing estate

Abstract

Renewable energy sources give local communities the opportunity to achieve energy independence in an environmentally friendly way using relatively technically
simple solutions. This paper presents an analysis of the dependence between the capacity of energy storage and its cost and the amount of energy exchanged with the network. Earlier a wind farm power production was modeled using open meteorological data.
