On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic. Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers imposed a quarantine in Ukraine at least until April 3, 2020.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, increasing health concerns and the well-being of the conference attendees, we all should be aware of the risks of visiting public events. The health and safety of the ESS participants are of paramount importance to the organizing committee.
Organizing Committee of IEEE ESS-2020 together with the IEEE Ukraine Section and its Subunits have carefully considered available options for holding the ESS-2020 conference and decided to move to Virtual Conference.
At the moment, we continue to evaluate papers, and authors will receive decisions until April 5, 2020. After registration for participation and finalizing the program, authors need to prepare a presentation file with voice narration.
The presentation should contain at least 10 slides and should be accompanied by a speech lasting 10-15 minutes. The presentation should reflect the task and relevance of the study, the main results presented in the paper, and conclusions.
Conference participants will be able to view slides over the conference period and interact with questions. The Conference proceedings will still be submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
The amount of the participation fee will be reconsidered by the organizing committee and reduced (nearly 50% from the initial cost).
Under the new conditions, a shift in the dates of the conference is possible.
We will inform the authors of all further changes.
